AI Usage Policy
Last updated: July 2026
At The Pocket Strategist, we are committed to transparency, trust, and responsible innovation. This AI Usage Policy explains how we use artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the course of delivering our services, and how that may impact our clients, potential clients, website visitors, and social media followers.
1. How We Use AI
This policy sets out how we use artificial intelligence (AI) tools responsibly and legally within The Pocket Strategist, including how we use it to protect our copyright, maintain quality, and ensure that client data is protected.
We may use AI-based tools to support or enhance aspects of our business, including:
Content creation (e.g. blogs, emails, social media captions)
Idea generation and market research
Internal productivity tasks (e.g. scheduling, admin, creating summaries)
Research and information gathering to support client work
All AI-generated content is reviewed and edited by a human before being shared with clients or published publicly.
2. AI and Personal Data
We will never knowingly input sensitive or personally identifiable client data into public AI platforms.
All personal data processed using AI is handled in compliance with UK GDPR and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA). In particular, we:
Limit the data shared with any external AI processors
Ensure AI tools are subject to appropriate data protection agreements where personal data is involved
Do not use AI to make fully automated decisions that have legal or significant outcomes for individuals without human review
For our full data privacy policy, please see our Privacy Notice. If you have questions about how your data is used, please contact us at katherine@thepocketstrategist.com.
3. Transparency and Responsibility
AI helps us improve speed and efficiency. However, we remain fully responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of everything we create using AI — including all outputs and all services we deliver.
Where AI has been used to generate a material part of a deliverable, we disclose this when appropriate or when legally required to do so.
We are committed to keeping up to date with developments in AI regulation and will update our practices and this policy as requirements evolve.
4. Intellectual Property
We take our intellectual property obligations seriously. We do not input third-party copyrighted material into AI tools without appropriate authorisation, and we do not use AI in a way that would infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
AI-generated outputs may not be automatically protected by copyright. Where AI has been used in the creation of work, we apply human creative input and judgement to ensure the final output reflects our own expertise and originality.
5. Limitations of AI Use
AI-generated content may occasionally contain factual inaccuracies, outdated information, or lack nuance and context. While we strive for high-quality, human-reviewed outputs, we recommend clients use their own judgement and verify any important information provided to them, particularly where decisions of significance are involved.
6. Your Rights and Choices
If you prefer that we do not use AI tools in relation to your project or data, please let us know when you engage our services. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests and will notify you if we are unable to do so.
7. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our business practices. The latest version will always be available on our website at www.thepocketstrategist.com.
